Minimum Advertised Pricing (MAP) Policy

Effective Date: 1 March 2025

Purpose: At Agoro, we are committed to maintaining the integrity and value of our brand, supporting our distribution network, and ensuring fair competition among our retail partners. To achieve these objectives, we are introducing this Minimum Advertised Pricing (MAP) Policy.

Scope: This MAP Policy applies to all distributors, retailers, and resellers of Agoro products within North America. It covers all advertising of our products across all channels, including but not limited to:

  • Online marketplaces (e.g., Amazon, eBay, retailer websites)
  • Social media platforms
  • Print media (e.g., newspapers, magazines, catalogs)
  • Digital advertisements (e.g., email marketing, online banner ads)

Policy Guidelines:

  1. MAP Pricing:
    • All products covered under this policy must be advertised at or above the minimum advertised prices specified in the latest product release list provided by Agoro.
    • The MAP for each product will be effective starting from the product’s launch date and remain in effect for 60 days post-launch.
  2. Advertising Compliance:
    • "Advertising" refers to any public or customer-facing display of pricing, including websites, email promotions, and social media posts.
    • The MAP Policy does not restrict the price at which products are sold. Retailers are free to set their actual selling price.
    • Bundled offers or promotions that result in a product’s effective advertised price falling below the MAP are not allowed.
  3. Exclusions:
    • Online live auctions are explicitly excluded from the Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) policy. Retailers may offer products for sale through live, real-time bidding auctions, provided that the starting bid price is not explicitly advertised below the MAP prior to the auction's commencement.
    • Advertisements that do not mention specific pricing (e.g., “Contact us for pricing” or “Call for best price”).

Enforcement: Agoro reserves the right to enforce this policy uniformly and consistently. Violations will be addressed as follows:

  1. First Violation: A written warning will be issued, along with a request to correct the advertised pricing within 48 hours.
  2. Second Violation: Suspension of product shipments for 30 days.
  3. Third Violation: Termination of the partnership agreement and revocation of access to Agoro products.

Monitoring and Reporting:  Agoro will actively monitor advertised prices across all channels to ensure compliance. Retailers or distributors may also report MAP violations by contacting coins@newzealandmint.com

Acknowledgment: By continuing to advertise and sell Agoro products, all partners acknowledge their understanding and acceptance of this MAP Policy.

FAQ:

Q: Can we discount prices below MAP for in-store sales? A: Yes, in-store pricing is not governed by this policy as long as it is not advertised to the general public.

Q: How does this policy apply to clearance sales or promotional events? A: Clearance or promotional pricing must be pre-approved by Agoro and comply with MAP guidelines.

Q: Will this policy apply to all products? A: Yes, the MAP Policy applies to all products listed in our catalog. Specific MAP pricing will be outlined in each product release list.

Q: What if a third-party seller violates the MAP Policy? A: If a third-party seller is found to be in violation, we will investigate and take appropriate action, including potentially restricting product access.

Q: Are online live auctions subject to MAP pricing?
No. Online live auctions, where prices are determined dynamically through competitive bidding in real-time, are exempt from MAP pricing requirements. An "online live auction" refers to a real-time bidding event hosted on an auction platform where participants actively bid on products in a time-limited setting (e.g., eBay Live Auctions, Whatnot, or other streaming auction platforms).
