How to Care for Your Agoros

Whether you own an ultra-rare Disney Trading Coin, a premium MLB piece, or a collection of Star Wars Movie Poster pieces, proper care will ensure your Agoros remain pristine for years to come.

Here’s everything you need to know about preserving your precious metal pieces at their best.

1. Keep It in the Capsule

Agoro coins and collectibles come encased in high-quality capsules—not just for presentation, but for protection. These capsules shield against dust, moisture, and accidental handling that can mark the metal’s surface.

Can you take your coin out? Absolutely. But be warned: mirror finishes, especially on proof coins, are highly susceptible to fingerprints and micro-abrasions. The oils on your skin can leave marks that are difficult to remove, so if you do handle them, do so with  cotton gloves  and on a soft, clean surface.

2. Store in a Stable Environment

Precious metals may be resistant to tarnish and corrosion, but improper storage can still impact their condition. Here’s what to avoid:

Humidity & Moisture – Silver can develop tarnish over time if exposed to excess humidity. Store your collectibles in a dry, climate-controlled space.

Direct Sunlight – Prolonged exposure to UV light can cause discoloration to packaging.

Extreme Temperatures – Fluctuating temperatures can cause condensation inside the capsule, potentially damaging the coin. Keep your collection in a consistent environment.

3. Avoid Excessive Handling

Unlike standard bullion, Agoro collectibles are crafted with high-quality finishes designed to elevate their detail and aesthetic. The more you handle them, the greater the risk of wear, scratches, or accidental drops. If you must take a piece out of its capsule:

Use  cotton gloves  to prevent fingerprints.

Hold it by the  edges only—never touch the face of the coin.

Place it on a  soft, lint-free surface  to avoid scratches.

If a fingerprint does appear, it’s best to leave it alone rather than risk damage by trying to remove it.

4. Keep Packaging & Certificates Safe

Your Agoro collectible isn’t just about the metal—it’s a complete experience. Limited-edition pieces come with custom packaging, display boxes, and certificates of authenticity, all of which add to their long-term value.

Store packaging in a dry, dust-free place.

Keep COAs flat and away from sunlight to prevent fading.

Avoid excessive handling of paper materials to prevent creasing or wear.

5. Be Mindful of Cleaning (Or Don’t Clean at All)

A well-preserved collectible  shouldn’t need cleaning.  But if you do notice tarnish on a silver piece (which can happen naturally over time), avoid commercial cleaners or abrasive materials. Instead:

Use a  soft, lint-free cloth  (like a microfiber cloth) to gently remove dust.

If absolutely necessary, consult a professional before attempting any deep cleaning, especially with proof finishes.

6. Display with Care

Want to show off your Agoro collection? Go for it—just be smart about how.

Keep your pieces in their original capsules to maintain their condition.

If using a display case, ensure it's in a controlled environment away from direct sunlight and humidity.

Avoid touching or repositioning pieces frequently to minimize handling wear.
